Wife was born in 1995 when two old friends, Lynn Wilson and Roger Fife merged their talents and names to become Wife. Having played in various bands together since the 70's, they each started their own studio to write and record their own songs. Lynn's wife, Karyl, who had previously not been known to be a singer was the obvious choice to be a singer for Wife. Along the way, Lynn's baseball buddy, Mike Moors, was found to have a better sense of pitch than Lynn which resulted in a higher batting average, so he was added to the lineup.

In 1996 Wife released their first CD, MidWife Crisis, which in spite of no publicity managed to sell a few copies in the Kansas City/Lawrence, Kansas area. In 1998, Wife released their second CD, Better Half, to their families and friends and various drawers and closets. Their third CD, Third Wife, was largely a secret, having been recorded for a number of friendly and not so friendly intelligence agencies. For their fourth CD, Harem, Wife is proud to announce that it will be available to the general public as well as everyone else.

   Wife currently is:
Lynn Wilson: guitars, keyboards, drum machine, loops, lead and backup vocals

Karyl Wilson: lead and backup vocals, flute
Mike Moors: keyboards, guitar, vocals
Pedro Calderon: charango, pan pipes, Peruvian flute, classical guitar
